NYX targets individual live windows, stores restart fingerprints, and reconnects saved rules without treating an entire EXE as one giant switch.

Every live overlay is bound to one concrete HWND. Multiple windows from the same application can behave differently.

Executable identity, window class, normalized title, owner class, stable styles and child-control signatures help NYX find the replacement window.

NYX measures the composed visible surface and only darkens clearly bright windows when Smart Dark is enabled.

Each remembered window has its own on/off switch. Turning it off keeps the rule saved for later.

Optional restore reconnects activated rules after an application or Windows restart.

Choose ALT+Q, ALT+D, ALT+X, CTRL+ALT+D, CTRL+SHIFT+D, CTRL+ALT+N or WIN+ALT+D.
