Does NYX work offline?
Yes. Perpetual NYX1 license keys are verified locally using an embedded RSA-2048 public key. There is no permanent online license check and no hardware binding.
Does NYX darken a whole application?
No. NYX remembers individual Windows windows. The executable is only one part of the restart fingerprint.
What happens after an app restart?
When restore is enabled, NYX uses the saved fingerprint to reconnect the rule to the replacement HWND.
What is Smart Dark?
Smart Dark waits for stable content, identifies clearly bright windows and avoids native-dark or neutral windows. Popups are classified independently.
How long is the trial?
Seven days from the first launch for the current Windows user.
Can uninstalling restart the trial?
No. The current trial state uses three related protected records and preserves the oldest recorded trial start.
Which Windows versions are supported?
NYX is built as a native Win32 utility for modern Windows systems. The website targets Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Can I use NYX commercially?
The included EULA permits private or commercial use of the software while prohibiting redistribution, rental or sublicensing without authorization.
